Meet Dr. Patrick McCarty
Dr. McCarty is a dentist and pediatric anesthesiologist in Worcester, MA. He graduated from Boston College and the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Dr. McCarty completed his residency in anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital & School of Medicine in New York City.
Following graduation from residency, he practiced anesthesia in the greater San Francisco, California area. In 2007, he relocated to New England, where he now provides mobile office-based anesthesia services in many dental offices throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. His patient population includes both children and adults – especially medically compromised and dental-phobic patients.
Dr. McCarty is also a staff anesthesiologist at the Franciscan Children’s Hospital in Brighton, MA. In addition, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. McCarty is a Visiting Instructor within the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Department of Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Recently, he helped to institute an I.V. Sedation training program for the Post-Doctoral Periodontology residents at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. McCarty is board certified through the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology & the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. I
n 2009, Dr. McCarty was named a Recipient of Honor by The Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society. This honor is awarded annually to 10 dentists who have been in the profession for 10 years or less and have made a significant contribution to the profession, their community, or organized dentistry.
